We blinked, and somehow half the year is already gone. Before you know it, the holidays will be here. Who still has their holiday decorations up? Talk about a time-saver!

But before we get ahead of ourselves, there’s still plenty of 2026 left—and plenty happening at Tucker Pride. We have project updates, upcoming events, and some exciting plans to share, so let’s get to it!

News

We’re Retiring… Our Facebook Group

We’re simplifying how you stay connected with Tucker Pride! We will soon retire our Facebook group and focus our social media activity on the Tucker Pride Facebook page.

If you currently follow only our Facebook group, please follow our Facebook page now.

Our Facebook page is our primary home on Facebook and the place where we post news, upcoming events, community updates, photos, and more. Maintaining both a page and a group has caused some confusion—and, frankly, a lot of unnecessary cross-posting—so we’re bringing everything together in one place.

Follow the Tucker Pride page to stay connected.

One important reminder: Even if you follow our page, Facebook’s algorithm may not show you every update. For the most reliable way to hear about significant Tucker Pride news, events, and announcements, subscribe to this newsletter.

We will still maintain our Instagram account, and even Linked-in. But you’ll find less news there. And of course, there’s also our website at tuckerpride.org.

Activity and Coloring Book Update

It’s official—our deadline for youth art submissions has passed! We are now hard at work finalizing the book’s layout, incorporating all the wonderful submissions we received, and putting the finishing touches on our activity pages.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we’ve reached 85% of our $7,500 fundraising goal! That’s fantastic progress—but our little coloring book isn’t so little anymore. Our planned 28 pages has grown into 44 pages!

With far more wonderful submissions and pages than we originally anticipated, the book will cost more to produce. We now face a difficult choice: raise additional funds, print fewer copies, or remove pages from the book.

And have you seen all these fabulous submissions? We simply can’t bear to leave any of them out!

That’s why this final fundraising push is so important. Every additional donation helps us print more copies and put this book into the hands of more children and families throughout our community.

If you haven’t donated yet, please consider doing so as soon as possible. Our donation window will remain open, but time is running out to be included in the book itself. As we near the end of July, we will freeze the layout and prepare the book for printing. Donations received after that point can still be recognized online, but donor names, dedications, and other recognition may not make it into the final book for posterity.
