May 2026 Newsletter

Dear Tucker Pride Newsletter Subscriber,

Here’s our May update, hot on the heels of yesterday’s Tucker Day event.

Tucker Day

Tucker Day is officially over, but what a fantastic event! As usual, the organizers have done a fantastic job putting together the event. Even our Tucker Town Green became part of this year’s story. Several booth visitors commented on how much larger the event appeared to be. Congratulations to everyone involved and thanks for a job well done!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Tucker Pride is teaming up with Wine & Whimseys for a special event for Mental Health Awareness Month on Sunday, May 31 from 2-4PM. Featuring a speaker from our friends at Compassion Cove Counseling, this is a special, pre-sale ticketed event. Wine & Whimseys is typically closed on Sunday, so we need to meet minimum attendance requirements for our partners to chill those bottles, prepare those snacks, turn on the lights, and staff the event. Click here for our ticket page to get those tickets ASAP! “Sober” tickets are also available at a reduced price, so there’s no reason to not be there.

Tucker Pride’s Activity and Coloring Book

As of last week, we are at 38% funding for our activity and coloring book. We have not yet counted the donations from Tucker Day or that have occurred this past week—so stay tuned for the next campaign progress announcement. Please visit our donation page at tuckerpride.org/donate to view our current list of supports, and on how you can add your name to the list!

Please, please, please share our call for youth artists! We are still searching for contributions from our youth artists, so please share the word! Details for youth artist submissions can be found on our website at tuckerpride.org/art.

News you might have missed

Because many of you are not on Facebook, you’re missing out on some of our social media posts. We are starting another newsletter update that will feature important posts. We’re definitely not trying to spam your inbox—but the algorithms are not always in our favor that you’ll see the important updates we post on facebook. Email is the next best option based on those of you whom we approached specifically on this topic. We can’t commit to a weekly newsletter, but we think we can squeeze in a second email for the month when its warranted. And only in dire circumstances will we do anything more frequent.

So here we go!

Posted on facebook on April 14, 2026 – Building Something Together

This week we are proud to recognize our “Curator” tier sponsor who has helped turn an idea into something real for Tucker’s Youth: Infinite Realities: Comics, Games & More. Because of their support, we’ve:

  • Secured funding for a minimum print run of activity and coloring books
  • Launched our youth artists call
  • Begun working with talented contributing artists

This project is growing because of this community.

We’d also like to thank the “Sketchbook Artist” tier members and our “Finger Painter” donors who have collectively added to this project’s reach.

Thank you for building something meaningful with us!

Please visit our donation page at tuckerpride.org/donate to view our full sponsor tier recognition page, our sponsorship package, and how you can help make this project a success!

Total Donations: $2,117 (28%) of $7,500 goal

Posted on Facebook April 28, 2026 – Activity & Coloring Book Fundraiser Update

Last time we checked in, our amazing early supporters helped us reach 28% of our fundraising goal—a huge milestone that secured our initial print run thanks to our “Curators” tier sponsor, Infinite Realities: Comics, Games & More.

Since then? You’ve kept the momentum going.

We’ve added another 10%, bringing us to 38% of our goal ($2,917)—and that’s something to celebrate!

We’ve also welcomed new supporters at multiple levels—including some very recognizable names in our community at the “Sketchbook Artists” tier. (Curious? You’ll want to check those out at our donation page, tuckerpride.org/donate)

A special thank you to our “Muses” tier supporters: David Perez and Kevin Jones (and if you don’t know them… well, you should!)

We’re making strong progress—but there’s still work to do to ensure we can print enough copies to reach as many Tucker kiddos as possible.

Here’s where YOU come in:

Whether you’re an individual supporter or a local business, there’s still time to be part of this project. Supporters at various tiers can:

  • Have their name printed in the book
  • Include a short dedication or affirmation
  • Be part of a lasting, community-centered keepsake
  • Even secure a half-page or full-page black-and-white illustration

For businesses, those illustration spaces can feature your logo as part of a fun, colorable design, creating a unique and highly visible way to support the community. It’s more than recognition—it’s a creative, lasting way to show your support for inclusion, youth, and the Tucker community.

Let’s keep the momentum going: tuckerpride.org/donate

Every contribution helps us put this book into more hands—and more homes.

Cheers!

–Your Tucker Pride team: David, Kevin, Ray R., Ray A.
